Dippers - Ringing Adult's for Survival (RAS)

One of our latest projects is focusing on the beautiful semi-aquatic species: the Dipper (Cinclus cinclus).

We’re launching a Ringing Adults for Survival (RAS) project to help us better understand their movements, survival rates, and life cycle in Cornwall.

To do this, we’re fitting birds with brightly coloured Darvic rings – red plastic rings with bold white letters. These are far easier to read in the field than standard metal rings, making it much more likely we’ll be able to re-sight (spot again) individual birds over time.
